Juan C. Arias, Esq.
Mr. Juan C. Arias is an honorably discharged U.S. veteran who was born in Colombia and is fluent in Espanol. Mr. Arias is a partner at Arias & Abbass currently admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and all appellate and trial courts within the State of Florida. Mr. Arias has experience litigating dependency, complex family, and contracts matters, but currently concentrates his practice on civil ligation, including claims for insurance coverage and bad faith lawsuits against insurance companies.
Mr. Arias founded Arias & Abbass after his successful legal career as an attorney at a premier defense firm specializing in litigation of insurance claims, serving as a family prosecutor for the State of Florida, as well as being the managing attorney at Arias Law, PLLC and of counsel attorney to a boutique firm handling high profile cases in Miami, Florida.
In addition to his experience litigating complex insurance claims and making settlement recommendations on the defense side, Mr. Arias has participated in countless evidentiary court hearings, mediations, conducted trials at the lower court level, and at the appellate level successfully represented a client where the matter was dismissed in favor of his client.
Mr. Arias received his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Florida International University (FIU), where he graduated with honors, Cum Laude. He also received his Juris Doctor degree from Ave Maria School of Law, where he made the Dean’s List, was a member of the moot court board, and successfully completed internships at the Human Trafficking Clinic, the felony division of the Florida State Attorney’s Office, and as a judicial clerk at the 20th Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida.
